Haint Blue Topknots
Haint Blue: Charleston's haint blue porch ceilings are a beautiful design tradition for which we can thank African American Gullah culture. Since it was believed that spirits (“haints”) couldn’t cross water, the color (symbolizing water) was applied to porch ceilings and doors to prevent evil spirits from entering.

Keep them dry. Exposure to moisture and humidity can loosen the bindings and damage the silky texture of the rayon. So you may want to remove them before dancing in the rain.
Tassels can get a little kinky when tossed around. No need to fret; just straighten them out again by gently hand-brushing them under a warm hairdryer. Works like a charm!
