Tulum Travel Diary

Nothing gets our creative juices flowing more than a getaway to colorful, tropical and vibrant places. We recently traveled to Tulum for a mix of work and play. The work? A photoshoot for our new jewelry designs, dropping all summer long (stay tuned!). And play? Relaxing beach-side with a snail-place 'agenda' of reading, painting, journaling and napping.
We stayed at the Amansala Resort, an eco-chic hotel known for its rustic design, healthy menu and workout programs, including yoga, pilates and surfside HIIT classes. We discovered it via our friends at The Works, our favorite workout studio in Charleston.
What we....
Ate: ceviche, guacamole and heaps of fresh tropical fruit
Listened to: this mellow Spotify mix featuring Sturgill Simpson and Hozier
Read: Three Women by Lisa Taddeo (super racy!)

Shoot Day!
We started at 7am sharp. Our model, Pilar, is from Argentina and has lived in Tulum for four years. She is also a jewelry designer! Our photographer Richard Guaty hails from Miami and shoots all around Central and South America.
Want to shop similar looks from the shoot? See links below!
pink bathing suits by Hunza G (bikini) and It's Now Cool (one piece)
rainbow crochet cardigan by Rose Carmine (swoooon!)
Rolling Stones tee by Madeworn

After the shoot wrapped, we spent the next two days chilling to the max. Amansala is next door to the lowkey-cool Posada Margherita, a legendary Tulum resort and restaurant.
We are so thankful we get to travel to such beautiful places for work. We can't wait to reveal the images from the rest of the shoot! Please follow along!
